Despite a grey sky and the occasional rain shower, (capsule) NY is off to an exciting start at Center 548. We began the day with Assembly New York, an in-house brand for the New York shop by the same name. Greg Armas, designer, explains that his collection is all about organic cottons and linens. Hand knits hang neatly on Assembly’s racks, beside suede and waxed garments. It’s a handsome assortment with a distinct suggestion of New York poise, which led me to ask Armas where he likes to spend time in the City. He frequents NinthStreet Espresso, where apparently one can find an Americano of superior quality. (Antonio Reis)
