A Head Of The RestAfter browsing the gallery from Tuesday’s Chanel Couture show, I found it terribly difficult to focus on the fashion. Show a girl with self prescribed ADD a gorgeous and intricate headdress, and she’s bound to stare in awe. But if you think designers at Chanel sent away for these marvelous creations, you’re dead wrong! One would peg an engineer with the responsibility of these creations, but hairstylist Katsuya Kamo was the master behind these gorgeous paper locks. Is it just me, or is it hard to believe that all the headdresses were constructed from only two packets of Office Depot 11×17 photocopy paper? If you think that’s impressive, Kamo has even crafted flowers, butterflies and birds from paper to be used as accessories on the runway! Although the designer’s ultimate goal is to design clothes, I think he should write some sort of “hair-a-gami” book! Paper-cuts ensue!
