Despite the fact that Project Runway Season 6 still remains homeless, the top three contestants each showed a 13 piece collection last Friday. For the most part, each collection was anything but earth-shattering, nearing the edge of boring. Contestant One’s collection was pretty generic. A plethora of leather bombers, pants and skirts, along with off the shoulder sweaters and asymmetrical dresses sang me a lullaby straight to sleep. Contestant Two took a bit more risk, toying with draping, embellishments and volume to big about some uniqueness. Contestant Three, meanwhile, ran circles around the other two designers. Three’s collection had an extraterrestrial dominatrix vibe, with some neat pleated dresses and knits. If the season ever airs, I’ve got my chips on Contestant Three.
