I just got back from 4 days in NYC with my teenage daughter and we can't figure out why hundreds of folks were waiting in line at Abercrombie & Fitch. You can go to an A&F store in any mall in the US, why would you wait in line in NYC to go to this store when there are so many wonderful stores? Did we totally miss out on something or is everyone else just stupid?

so ridiculously true. i've been so upset about that store (i am trying not to be overly dramatic and call it the abomination on fifth avenue) since it opened. not only is it the most ridiculous tourist attraction since american girl place, to the point where you can't walk down the street -- which is a problem if you want to go to henri bendel -- but you can smell it from at least 2 blocks in either direction!
