Even though I am black/latino,I will always prefer the term “Black” over “African America”. It just fits better to me.

Beside that, it would be kind of cool to see Michelle gracing the front cover. She’s such a beautiful and elegant woman. If only . . . *sighs*

The Blacks isn’t meant to be racist. If it offends you we apologize.

We changed “The blacks” to the African Americans, which isn’t an accurate term either since most blacks in America have a) never been to Africa, and b) refer to Caucasians as “White People” on a daily basis.

We’re a pretty diverse group of people at Fashion Indie. We’ve got a white, a black, a tanner, a china girl, and a sprinkling of Hipster Douchebags that frequent our offices. We didn’t use the term to offend and editing probably wasn’t necessary. But, hell Ms.Anonymous, for you, why not.

Just realize that when we use the term “Black” it’s not like they’re using an offensive N-word term. It’s in reference to a skin tone, just like White.

whomever you are anonymous, we didn’t mean any hate for our words, we were just trying to make a statement in regards to Anna Wintour and her recently being called racist for the Vogue cover with Lebron. I didn’t mean to offend, and I did change the word’s so that we don’t offend anyone else, if we offended you we apologize.
