It seems that Brazil is unhappy with Italy’s Relish brand’s S/S 09 ad campaign.
Inspired by the movie Thelma & Louise, the campaign features a couple of models being frisked by Brazilian police. Hence Brazil being unhappy.
Some have even cried for an injury to the dignity of women as the models depict
The fashion in this recent spread starring model Katie Fogarty for Wonderland Magazine is wild, crazy and super cool. I love the crazy turbans and plethora of insane prints. Photographer Aitken Jolly did a great job of making “Die for Me” a black and white wonderland of its own.
Thanks to Fashion
This spread is incredibly playful with the neon colors and adorable clothes; it’s making me feel like I’m living in black and white. I am obsessing over the crazy pink, blue and yellow jumpsuit. I need to find out where I can buy it ASAP.
Thanks to Le Fashion for the photos.
Vogue Nippon hasn’t once disappointed me this year. I love the tone of this spread shot by Mark Segal for the magazine’s March 09 issue. Weber’s hair looks amazing, and she wears the clothes quite well. And I’m all about that little moped she’s rocking.
Besides the cameo from those horrible pajamas Dolce & Gabbana walked down the runway at their spring 2009 show, I really love this series of ads. Models Mariacarla Boscono, Caroline Trentini and Karlie Kloss perfect the lush scene shot by Steven Klein. Pajama vomit aside, the clothing looks absolutely phenomenal;
The newest Barbara Bui ad campaign featuring model Sophie Srej has me a little creeped-out. I don’t know if the photos were taken at weird angles or there is a ton of Photoshop work, but the model looks way skewed. Her head looks way too alien-big for her body or
The new ad campaign for Moschino Cheap & Chic has me wanting to spread my blanket out in McCarren Park and have a picnic. Emma Maclaren and Nika Lauraitis look perfectly content in sundresses and sandals. I love the old school radio and adorable wicker picnic basket. The clothes aren’t
When supermodel Mariacarla Boscono models for photographer Camilla Akrans, you know something great is going to come from it. This spread for the March issue of Vogue Nippon has luxurious Italian palazzo written all over it. All of her dresses say something different, from conservative beauty to disco superstar. I think
Daniel Jackson transformed Liu Wen into a work of art for this spread in the February issue of Vogue China. The garments look fabulous on Wen; she is the perfect canvas for couture. The dress with all the crazy circles is my favorite, but the black and white hat is
I don’t know what it is about these photos, but I absolutely love them. Calvin Klein strikes again with another eye-catching campaign for spring 09 menswear. The model is so insanely hot with that white hair and those blue eyes, I’m barely looking at the merchandise. But the red suit
I am surprised to say that I like new ad campaign for Armani Exchange, even though the clothes are totally Euro-trashy. It’s sexy, fun and makes me want to say “Fuck You, New York” and move to Cabo. Okay just kidding, but the models are hot and the water is
I’m loving the stark contrast between a gorgeous dress and disgusting old couch in the S/S 09 Lanvin ad campaign. Shot by Steven Meisel, this photo represents every woman out there- classy and beautiful yet an occasional mess. Along with the dress, the shoes, bag and accessories are perfect for
Funny I came across this today, as I just watched The Prisoner of Azkaban on Sunday night. I love, love, love this spread; Emma Watson looks incredibly beautiful and energetic. The talented young actress was photographed by Ellen von Unwerth for a recent issue of Vs. magazine. She wears all
Here is another great spread from the February issue of French Vogue starring model Lara Stone. This editorial moves away from the others, showing off designers rather than conceptual photography. Four pages of glorious fashion offers a look for every girl. I love that I can relate to each one
I adore Gisele Bundchen, but I hate True Religion and I hate this advertisement. First of all, way to sell cut-off shorts that look exactly like the pair I wear every day of summer that cost me a whopping $4 at Salvation Army. I really hate how this ad is
This recent spread in Vogue Russia takes me to a circus funeral shot in film noir. Even though I can’t read the copy, I love it. It’s amazing to me that every country’s Vogue except America’s has the coolest and most innovative photography and conceptual ideas. What does that tell you
Brit-pop sensation Lily Allen makes a fabulous cover girl for the February issue of Spin Magazine. Photographer Ellen von Unwerth shot Allen for the cover and spread inside. Girlfriend looks fabulous in some of the best dresses I’ve seen in awhile. The number with the black stars in my absolute
This is the most random and playful campaign I’ve seen in awhile. Tim Walker shot this ad for Aquascutum’s S/S 09 line, and I’d have to say it’s quite effective. Not only do I love that all the models are kissing, but I think it’s awesome they all match. Sign
I have always admired Jil Sander advertisements because they have this loud, simplistic mood to them that is like no other. And the campaign for spring/summer 09 is no exception. Shot by Willy Vanderparre featuring models Natasha Poly and Douglas Jewell, these black and white photos need no explanation. The
Kylie Minogue’s steamy ad for lingerie line Agent Provocateur has been voted the best cinema commercial of all time.
The ad, which features our pop princess writhing on a mechanical rodeo bull in sexy underwear, caused a massive stir when it was released in 2001.
It came out on top in a
I absolutely adore this look from the Louis Vuitton Spring 09 runway. One outfit styled two different ways for two different magazine covers is quite interesting. Julia Dunstall for the Febuary 09 issue of L’Occiciel is wearing the more understated version; solely the outfit sans accessories. Simple makeup and hair
Lydia Hearst is definitely not one of my favorite models. But I have to give it to her for looking pretty fierce in this ad for the Pringle of Scotland spring 09 campaign. I don’t know if it was the work of photographer Steven Meisel or the stylist who called
I love a good oxymoron, especially when it comes to fashion. That’s why I am totally digging the newest ad campaign for Iceberg. Models Steve Gold and Amber Valletta look steaming hot, which is quite the contrary of the label’s name. Even though the only background you can see is
PETA is so weird and grosses me out so much that I don’t know where to start. First off, this commercial is disgusting. Sweaty women rubbing raw vegetables all over themselves? No thanks, and I’m pretty sure the guys can agree with me here. Vegetarianism is a decision made for
