STREET HERO: Styloretic

I’m loving the layering, and glad to see that winter hasn’t darkened us all yet. My favorite part of this outfit? The small flash of leopard tights.

Syracuse University Prof. Robert Thompson, a popculture expert, has decided that he is now the fortune-teller to Gossip Girl downfall. He told the news:
“The silence is deafening, ”Gossip Girl’ was like Twitter – when people first discovered it, they couldn’t stop talking about it. But the enchantment has worn off.
The premise of the show was so interesting and exciting in the beginning, but this season’s story lines don’t seem to be clicking. It’s not like if you watch an episode this season, you can say that it’s fundamentally worse than it was last season – it just doesn’t seem to have the shelf life of other programming.”
AOL Television’s Maggie Furlong also had a bit to say regarding the fame of the characters, and her recent Gossip Girl article that only recieved one comment:
“They’re no longer that interesting, that would have never happened a year ago. Now everyone wants to argue about the Gosselins instead.”
What is the world coming to! I’m still in love with Gossip Girl, but maybe they should’ve thought a little harder about their image before they gave Hilary Duff a role, and Tyra Banks a guest spot…just sayin. Then there was of course that the ‘flashback’ episode with Brittany Snow that made everyone want to stop watching the show, and that girl from ‘Privelage’ trying to convince everyone she hadn’t already been on a CW show…

There’s quite the comment battle going on over at The Superficial to whether or not Rachel Bilson is hot, but I don’t care what you all say..this girl has come a long way since her days on The OC, and is looking absolutely fabulous! I love this spread, do you?

I suppose I should think it’s endearing that Brad Pitt was willing to dress up like a character from the children’s show Yo Gabba Gabba for Halloween, but he looks like a giant orange Q-Tip. Angelina Jolie went as the walking dead, Shiloh was a jet fighter, Zahara was Batgirl and Maddox was a dead soldier (eek). The youngest and Pax were nowhere to be found. What do you guys think of this Q-Tip with underwear on the outside?

Lily Cole still manages to look fierce when next to filmmaker Terry Gillam (she’s the star of his film Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus). Cage Match was shot by Mark Zibert and styled by Amy Lu. What do you guys think, does Lily Cole kill is at as a supermodel, or should she continue to take the path to acting?

Lindsay Lohan’s new campaign says “strippers need expensive leggings, too!” Shot by photographers-turned-reality stars Markus Klinko and Indrani (stars of the new Bravo reality show ‘Double Exposure,’ showing all of us little people how the world of high fashion photography really works) and styled by GK Reid. Maybe if she wasn’t on a stripper pole I might think these leggings were cooler? What do you guys think.

Apparently there’s a lot of controversy going on with the Gucci’s lately surrounding a bio that’s in the works (starring Angelina Jolie..oooh). Patrizia Reggiani is upset that she may be portrayed poorly in the plot-in-question, the murder of her husband Maurizio Gucci, which Reggiani is currently serving a 26-year-sentence for. Maurizio’s cousin, Patrizia Gucci (not to be confused with his wife Patrizia) feels betrayed by producer Ridley Scott’s wife Giannina Facio who spent time with the Gucci’s and may be spreading rumors…Patrizia Gucci claimed:
“Scott had assured us that it would not be a scandalistic movie” and also, “This is not an authorized movie and we will try to block it if it is offensive.” (Variety)
Maurizio Gucci was murdered in 1995 after hiring Tom Ford, and then unknown but now mainstream designer, and had just relaunched the brand when he was gunned down by 3 killers, one of which included his wife’s fortune teller (scandalous!!). Never fear Gucci fans, Patrizia Guccia says:
“I will write a book about the Guccis to say who they really are. And I will give Scott a copy, in hopes that his movie will never be released.”
Pure Gucci Mane-ia over there…
