Having appeared on the runways of designers like Alexander Wang, Richard Nicoll and Dolce & Gabbana, velvet slacks, blazers, skirts, dresses and vests are some must-have pieces for the fall. Just when you thought velvet was a thing of the past, it’s back and trendier than ever!

VIDEO: Naomi Campbell Punches ABC Reporter Over Blood Diamond Inquiries

Who knew fashion journalism was a dangerous job? As if Naomi Campbell wasn’t scary enough, the supermodel recently attacked an ABC news reporter after being questioned about a blood diamond supposedly given to her by Liberian president Charles Taylor. Taylor, who is currently on trial for war crimes against humanity involving the uncut blood diamonds, allegedly gave Campbell one of the precious gems as a gift. Campbell not only refused to answer questions regarding the allegations, she decided it was necessary to punch a cameraman’s hand, knocking his camera to the floor.

I don’t know about you, but the fact that Ms. Campbell gets so hot and bothered about the alleged blood diamond gift is a bit fishy to me. Looks like we’ll have to call Leo DiCaprio to help us solve this one!

Vena Cava to Launch Lower-Priced Fall Basics

Designers Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock of fashion label Vena Cava are slated to release a a series of lower-priced basics this fall. The collection will include several organic cotton basics and will feature the label’s infamous photo collages and hand-drawn prints. Starting in July, you can find the Vena Cava basics for under $200 at retailers like Saks, Barneys and Bergdorf Goodman.

Anyone who was in middle school or high school within the last 10 years probably remembers the Jelly Bands trend that engulfed America. They might sound innocent, but Jelly Bands had a bad reputation for being pending sexual favors if another could snap or break the bracelet off the wearers wrist. Black= sex, Blue= oral sex, Red= perform a lap dance…the carnal list goes on and on.

But as of late, the colored, animal shaped Silly Bandz have become a fad among the elementary and middle school crowds. For the sake of their innocence, let’s hope the cute little elephants and tigers don’t become the sex symbols that Jelly Bands once were…

Anyone who pays attention to models probably noticed that Cole Mohr and Luke Worrall aren’t just chummy for the sake of sanity during Fashion Week. Not only do the boys oftentimes appear together in spreads and editorials but they’ve been seen goofing off in many a candid photo as well. Like two drunk girls on spring break, it appears that Cole and Luke got matching “BB” tattoos. I guess now we just have to decipher what the tattoo stands for…Blood Brothers? Bad Boys? Big Boobies?

BASH: The Reason I’ll Never Shop at Brooks Brothers Again

I used to buy all of my button-up shirts from Brooks Brothers simply because they fit well and come in a variety of colors and patterns. But after today’s incident, we’ll be lucky if I ever set foot in that store again. Behold exhibit A, a 3-inch rip down one of the stripes on my favorite button-up. Unless the fashion gods are trying to tell me I ought to drop a few pounds, there is absolutely NO REASON why this shirt should have ripped so intensely from merely reaching for a glass of water 2-feet away.

Sorry Brooks Brothers, but there’s ZERO reason for a $90 shirt to rip after only 4 wears. Get it together.

When Glamour Beauty asked Snooki from MTV’s The Jersey Shore what her favorite hair products were, this is what she had to say:

“I love dry shampoo because it doesn’t leave your hair sticky and pretty much holds it better. I just spent like $80 on dry shampoo. I don’t even need to tease my hair or do anything, because if you feel my hair it’s very thick. So when I get out of the shower, I just let it dry and put it up in a poof–it takes two seconds. And I do not use a Bumpit. When I first saw the commercial a year ago I ordered it right away. I was so excited to get it in the mail, I put it in my hair, then I started walking down the hallway and it fell out–it didn’t stay in my hair!”
