I just wanted an excuse to post the first photos of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams together again. I’m not a big fan of the movie The Notebook, although I am a big fan of them. Here they are in Toronto looking sickeningly cute. Again, Gosling and McAdams are, proving my point that with the right attitude, in this case insane adorable love, you can wear anything and it looks good.

It is my mission to drive home the point that American Vogue sucks. I do this, in the vain hope that they will give me the job to revitalize the magazine . Although my constant bashing of Anna Wintour and Daniel’s jihad against Andre Leon Talley has probably greatly hurt my chances. I digress…here is a preview of British Mag Dazed and Confused ‘s September issue (Trivia Time: Their founder, Jefferson Hack is Kate Moss’s baby’s daddy)!

Us Weekly took the time to ask former Elle editor and almost-current Marie Claire editor Nina Garcia how she stays stylish 24/7. Here’s a hint it has to do with all the expensive jewelry her husband bought her….Oh and just remember this simple fashion equation: converse + aviator sunglasses=instant cool factor
Unless Nina’s scowling at a PR contestant and giving them the fashion glare of death, I don’t really care.

Here’s a preview of Ed Westwick’s interview in Page SIx Magazine
“People think Chace is gay, and thought I was gay, that we were humping. It’s not true, but hilarious. People project their fantasies onto people. I’ve never been someone who makes it my objective to go out and pick up chicks. But I’ve met some fantastic ladies here. You know those amazing conversations where you find yourself in a café talking until 2 a.m. and never see them again.”
You may not be gay, but you’re still a douche. Catch more rich sayings from Ed in Sunday’s Page Six Magazine

I feel like there has been too much bad fashion this weekend. I thought I would end with a vintage Moment of Style. Here’s Renee Zellweger, pre-lemon face, at the Oscar’s in 2001

Earlier today I posted some photos of Selma Blair’s from the set of her new show Kath and Kim. In today’s fashion quotable, Blair talks about her interesting costume choices:
“The character’s fashion sense is really horrific! I’m wearing a lot of bright clothes and I don’t wear anything except black and white in real life. I’m wearing orange and blue together. It’s horrible. And wedge flip-flops all the time, toe-rings, and an anklet. I have long hair, too, so I have these horrifying extensions and these long nails. It’s so embarrassing.”
Again the show looks wonderfully tacky!

Here’s a little taste of what some of the hottest designers will be playing during their runway shows:
Erin Fetherston
-New Young Pony Club, “Ice Cream”
-The Rolling Stones, “She’s a Rainbow”
-Santogold, “Lights Out”
-She & Him, ” I Was Made For You”
“These are some of my favorite songs for the Spring 09 season — each one has a unique tone but they share a common theme of love and happiness.
Jay Godfrey
-Marianne Faithful, “Sister Morphine”
-Feist, “I Feel It All”
-Hot Chip, “Boy From School”
- Junior Boys, “In The Morning”
“The first one is an old rock classic, but we would remix it to speed it up and give it a modern edge. Then the last three are newer songs that are fun, youthful, and have a great beat—tunes that are sexy and modern that a woman would have on her playlist to host a fabulous cocktail party.”
Chris Benz
-JaConfetti, “Step Up”
-George Michael and Aretha Franklin, “I Knew You Were Waiting (For Me)”
-Róisín Murphy, “You Know Me Better”
-Anna Vissi, “Call Me”
-George Harrison, “Got My Mind Set On You”
Frank Tell
-“Like an Animal (Adam Crystal remix),” the Glove.
“I love the lyrics to this song: ‘One mile in the air that’s where she lives / Her body looks so thin and pink and small / Dropping eggs from nervous shaking hands / And swallowing her fingers as they fall / … Fight her all you want; you’ll never win … ‘”
-“Being Boiled,” the Human League.
-“Bela Lugosi’s Dead,” Bauhaus.
“I first discovered this song while watching The Hunger. Catherine Deneuve. I really don’t need to say any more.”
Rachel Comey
“Anything by Hercules and the Love Affair rocks my runway!”
Charlotte Ronson
-Chester French, “She Loves Everybody”
-The Virgins, “Murder”
-Coldplay, “Death and All His Friends”
“This season, my collection was inspired by The Virgin Suicides. Although Air created the music for the film, that choice would be too obvious for my collection. I want to use songs that are romantic with a more current, modern sound to them. These three songs emulate that to me.”
Alexander Wang
“All I can do is hint at what we’ll play during Fashion Week … Foxy Brown and Kelis.”

This Moment of Unstyle is questionable because Selma Blair is in character for her new show Kath and Kim. As we know Selma Blair is one stylish lady, however these outfits are awesomely bad. Can’t wait for the show! It looks wonderfully tacky!

I have been confined to my bed for the better part of the week thanks to a nasty fever. Because of this I have watched copious amounts of Tori and Dean Home Sweet Hollywood. I must say I have a soft spot for this show. I do enjoy Tori’s sweet ineptitude about anything remotely normal and her ever supportive husband. However I kept thinking while watching the show: What is going on with Tori Spelling’s face? I don’t want to be mean, but seriously what’s the deal with her face. Look we all know she’s had some work done:
The Nose Job:
The Boob Job:
But there something else going on. Her face is morphing or melting into her mothers!
Tori and her Mom in the 90′s
Tori and Candy Now:
Is it just me?
