Chanel Iman does her best close-up for the May 2009 cover of i-D magazine.
Shot by Kayt Jones, Chanel puts a glittery spin on the magazine’s trademark wink. Love the feathers; Chanel looks like she’s on the hunt!
Brooklyn-based millinery brand I Love Factory has just released their second collection. The Spring line, “Perennial Poltergeists,” is flower- and vintage-inspired. The creation looks so delicate, like fancy desserts or paper crafts.
The handmade pieces are full of velvet, satin, lace, real feathers, pearls, and antique accents; and they sell for $95-395.

Italian shoe brand Omelle has released images for the Spring/Summer 2009 collection.
They’re clearly shoes for design-lovers, with architectural inspirations and unique heel details. Most of the styles look so light and fragile, but are packed with big ideas.

Vivienne Westwood has teamed up her Anglomania line with Melissa Shoes for a Spring/Summer 2009 collection.
The plastic shoes, which look durable, fun, and summery, will retail for about $110-150.
Tomorrow Kate Moss launches her Spring / Summer 2009 line for Topshop, her ninth collection for the British retail giant,
As usual, Kate drew inspiration from vintage clothing, and combines girly details with a rock n roll vibe.
We have a sneak peek at some of the hottest pieces for the collection,
Kate Moss is queen of Topshop right now — she’s who’s cutting the ribbon at the Topshop Soho opening, and is of course releasing a new Spring/Summer 2009 collection of Kate Moss for Topshop.
Here are some look book images, starring Kate, of course, for the new line.
WWD has reported that Nicole Richie has teamed up with manufacturers of Modern Vintage and Earnest Sewn to expand her fashion empire.
The expectant mom will develop a 20-piece footwear collection under the House of Harlow 1960 label. Small accessories like bags and belts will also debut in 2010.
For now, Richie has
For the March 2009 issue of Paper Magazine, Stefan Sagmeister deconstructed a pair of Levi’s 501 and reassembled the threads into a poster.
A copy of the piece accompanies purchases at certain American Rag locations in LA and San Francisco.
I almost didn’t recognize Lara Stone and Eniko Mihalik in this super-Springy editorial in the April 2009 issue of W Magazine.
Stylist Camilla Nickerson mixed Mother Nature with looks from Chanel, Etro, Calvin Klein, and more: the models seem eerily and awesomely static and prop-like under bouquets, vines, leaves, and other
A vegetarian for about 50 years, Cloris Leachman is the latest celebrity to pose for a PETA campaign.
She seems like a random choice, but the 82-year-old looks great in a gown made of lettuce and red cabbage.
The hype continues, as Topshop/Topman prepares to open at 478 Broadway (April 2 at 11am, to be exact!)
WWD got a sneak peek at the British retailer’s first U.S. location.
The structure of the new “four-level, 40,000-square-foot space” mimics Topshop’s flagship store in London.
It looks great now (right down to the shoe lounge!),
Whoa.
I don’t know that anyone would ever expect American Idol loser Kellie Pickler to be a “do.” But this has secured her a throne in Fuck-up Land for a good long time.
Pickler walked in last night’s Dressed to Kilt charity fashion show (benefitting the Friends of Scotland organization) looking mad hagged-out. With
Fashionista got a sneak peek at the Loeffler Randall looks for Fall 2009. As usual, the clothes are young and sweet with a lot of possibilities for layering and mixing-and-matching.
And how hard do I want these buckle booties?!

Photography duo Smallz and Raskind shot Audrina Patridge for Divine Rights of Denim’s S/S 2009 ad campaign.
I’m not an Audrina fan, but she looks good; and LC should take note: if you model someone else’s clothes, it won’t hurt as much when they go out of business.
Also, I think this
“I have so much residue crap in my hair from years and years and years of not washing it and not having any sense of personal hygiene whatsoever.”
-Robert Pattinson, explaining his magical, undead hair.

A while ago Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen announced their plans to collaborate with Robert Lee Morris on a jewelry line, and we’ve seen pieces here and there since last year.
As more of the collection is released, I’m surprised by how minimalist they are, for the most part. Though simple, the pieces
I like to think of Elisabeth Hasselbeck as the Lauren Conrad of moms. She’s famous for being famous, is a cute blond on a TV show, and is now debuting a doomed collection of women’s clothing.
Elisabeth Hasselbeck for Dialogue will debut on QVC tonight at 9, but she gave this morning’s
These are actually film stills from a new Chanel No. 5 commercial — the new mini film stars an appropriately cast Audrey Tautou and model Travis Davenport (directed by Amélie’s Jean-Pierre Jeunet.
A full teaser will debut on chaneln5.com in April.

2009 CFDA nominee for Menswear Designer of the Year, Scott Sternberg picked Sarah Silverman to star in the new lookbook for Boy by Band of Outsiders.
Sarah models the tomboyish looks effortlessly, and the bright yellow and Barbie-pink pumps are a fun contrast to her sharp tongue.

I’m pretty sure I knew nothing about clothing brands when I was 8. But this week this letter from little Miranda O’Brien of Argonne Elementary School popped up on American Apparel’s Twitter feed.
Too soon?
Paris-based photographer Nicole Tran Ba Vang has a lot of cool spreads on her site.
This one, “Skin Clothes,” is a couple years old, but it’s just now circulating the blogs for some reason.
Her ambitious Photoshopped work depicts human skin as removable. Sexy or creepy?

I didn’t know Penélope Cruz was a fashion icon, but here she is, looking great in Balmain on the cover of the April 2009 issue of Spanish Vogue.
Patrick Demarchelier shot the spread, which is pretty casual (it co-stars a dog!) but celebrates her recent Academy Award win.

Info on Matthew Williamson’s line for H&M has been emerging slowly over the months.
The collection debuts in stores April 23, and the latest updates are some sneak peeks at a few of the pieces, as well as a scan from Dutch ELLE. There are several silk pieces — blue silk
