Heading to Tela Design Studio on Sunday night for ecological green designer Susan Cianciolo’s ‘Trees At Night’ event, I was unsure what to expect but let’s just say I was amazed! It was an intimate downtown soiree in a stunning space with a classical piano playing to set the mood.

Models wafted through the loft space and crowd wearing eco-glamorous looks mingling natural fibers with golden weaving and evening sky colored eye shadows. Her pieces are more like artworks than wearable clothing but are none the less beautifully created and put together. Tyson Beckford and Jefferson Hack were in attendance which added a punch to the event hosted by the up and coming PR firm The Berit Group.

Hair was done by Philip Pelusi, the famous hairdresser who created a different look for each model. He is also eco friendly and uses all organic products in his salon so it was only fitting he was behind the hairstyles for Susan’s show.

It was an impressive event and a nice change to your typical fashion week show bringing together both fashion and eco types which made for one interesting crowd.
