The Bottega Veneta Fall 2009 Shoe Collection was classic and stylishly elegant. Although I didn't see any formal or even dressy footwear, the day to night designs make more sense in an economic recession. I was not crazy about the simple oxford boot, it has absolutely no remarkable Bottega Veneta signature like the rest of the collection. The Bottega Veneta signature is texture, texture, texture. It defines their handbag collection as well as their clothing. Designer Tomas Maier mostly stuck with staple colors, brown and black, with the exception of the beautiful lilac, cut out boots. Even though everyone seems to be cutting back, I think these shoes will sell.
