Brandon Barash of ABC’s General Hospital was joined by Daniel and I, and other top editors and producers last night for a dinner to introduce him as the National Celebrity Ambassador for Muscular Dystrophy Association. Brandon, who lost a childhood friend to the disease, spoke to why he chose to become involved with MDA and what his connection with the organization allows him to achieve.
Brandon also shared photographs from his personal travels to international destinations such as Alaska, Prague, Chicago, Big Sur, Amsterdam, San Diego and New York with friends as well as his photography book, which is available through General Hospital fan club events. The sale of these photographs, as well as Brandon’s book, will be donated to the Muscular Dystrophy Association for research and awareness purposes. Brandon has several other awareness events scheduled for the future and is excited to make a difference with MDA!

Brandon Barash is an incredible young man. I had the honor of meeting him in Boston last fall just days after he appeared on his first MDA telethon. He Twittered the whole event and then flew to Boston for this event. I know that he will be on MDA for many years to come. He has such a big heart not just for MDA but for all his fans. It was wonderful meeting Brandon himself. Of course he is amazing as Johnny Zaccara.
I follow his tweets everyday…wish he would answer mine..lol

I cannot tell you how much I love this guy. He is amazing for all of the charity work he does and his honest interest in it. I have seen his interview on why he first got involved with MDA and it is an incredible heartfelt story. MDA (or any organization) could not have picked a better person to represent and as a Brandon Barash fan, it makes me respect him all the more. I can't wait to buy the book to support both he and the MDA. His involvement in the org certainly opened my eyes to the cause.
