Known for their infamous simple and stylish Polos and T’s accessorized with an embroidered penguin, Original Penguin Clothing is great one-stop shop brand for guys. The brand sells a range of men’s clothing and accessories including watches, bags, suits and shoes.
Original Penguin was born in 1955 when Abbot Pederson was retuning back to Minneapolis from a business trip in New York City. Taking a stuffed animal Penguin, who he named Pete, and his love for golf – Pederson designed the Munsingwear golf shirt.
For 1955, the shirt was ahead of its time being casual, comfortable and equally at home on the 18th hole or the 19th hole. Becoming a true American Classic brand, celebrities such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Arnold Palmer, Clint Eastwood and Richard Nixon wore the brand. Over time Original Penguin has evolved adding womens, kids and accessories.
