Renaissance man — the 21st century Renaissance has decidedly lower standards — James Franco stepped behind the camera to film 10 vignettes for Seven for All Mankind‘s spring campaign, starring Lily Donaldson and a host of other dubiously multi-hyphenated artist-actor-models.

H&M, in a constant stepping-up of their game, tapped Oscar-winner and noted style icon Sofia Coppola to direct the commercial for its newest diffusion line with Marni. Starring model/actress Imogen Poots and set in Marrakesh, Morocco to the dulcet, dreamlike tones of Roxy Music‘s “Avalon,” the clip could easily be a fashionable relic from the 70s. Jason Wu has taken a page out of Alexander Wang‘s guerrilla marketing playbook for his ad first ad campaign. You won’t be likely to see Wu’s new ads in a magazine, or if you never venture into Manhattan as they will be plastered exclusively across, around and about the city.

Super Bowl Sunday is…some time…soon — I’m assuming as there is really no way to tell. But before that other Manning faces off against Mr. Gisele Bundchen, H&M has debuted its big game day ad starring Mr. Victoria Beckham – you’re welcome. As expected, Calvin Klein trots out Lara Stone once again for its spring 2012 Jeans campaign. And as expected, Lara trots out her impressive rack, going topless alongside newcomer Matthew Terry in the steamy ads shot in St. Barts by leading lensmen Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott. Meanwhile, Terry also stripped down with fellow professional hunks Myles Crosby, Arran Sly and Chris Garavaglia for Calvin Klein Underwear with the legendary Steven Klein capturing the copious flesh on display in Joshua Tree. If all the six packs don’t strike your fancy, the brilliant hues surely will.

Miu Miu has added another actress to its roster of campaign stars. Having previously featured the likes of Drew Barrymore, Katie Holmes, Lindsay Lohan, Kirsten Dunst and most recently Hailee Steinfeld, Prada’s little sis tapped Aussie thespian Mia Wasikowska for its spring 2012 campaign.
