Haven’t heard anything about this so I’m not quite sure what it’s for, but Amber Rose (and her boobs) were promoting some sort of fragrance the other day. Drunken Stepfather has one hell of a bash on her, but I’ll just keep this as an info breakdown.

Micky Green is Sebastian’s Newest ‘IT’ Girl

Micky Green is Sebastians Newest IT Girl independent beauty

Michaela Green is Sebastian’s newest it girl, following Charlotte Ronson and Corey Kennedy. Born in Australia, this singer/songwriter/model’s claim to fame was her first album, titled ‘White T-Shirt.’

We love Sebastian, we’re just not sure why they pick girls who permanently look drunk, but I’d appreciate a bit more consistency in the choosing of their ‘fresh faces.’

I can’t even tell you all how many times I’ve searched endlessly through my bag to find my favorite gloss. And finally, someone has given me the perfect solution.

Murad Energizing Pomegranate Lip Protector not only looks fabulous, but comes on a key chain to avoid the silly game of lost and found! Now, if only every product came with a key chain I’d be set.

Hair As Power, Really?

Hair As Power, Really? all indie

If you ever worried about how much energy you were wasting with your hairdryer on full blast and your straightener at its highest temperature, don’t worry! There’s no longer a need for concern. As a result of a school project, an individual found that human hair can power solar panels! Seriously? I’m not quite sure how this works, but the person reportedly has already charged a pack of batteries and a cell phone with the hair. Weird, but you have to admit, kind of awesome.

Permission To Mix?

Permission To Mix? all indie

A couple of weeks ago we told you all to mix your hair products before applying, not only will it give you some extra benefits, it gets rid of the massive amounts of product that can cause some grease in your hair.

Though people still say to mix the products, I do have to warn you that there are some precautionary things to take note of. For one, never, I repeat, never, mix relaxers, perms, permanent hair colors, semi-permanent hair colors, or bleach. Never! And another side note, you can mix shampoo and conditioner, but your better off not doing it. When the two form a mixture a salt forms that prevents the conditioner from working.

Tip: Mix everything and observe for a couple of minutes before you apply. If the mixture looks weird then I wouldn’t try it.

Solange Defends The Shaved Head

Solange Defends The Shaved Head all indie

For everyone out there that ever spent a buck too many on hair products or cuts, Solange has some words of wisdom, chop it off! Ms. Knowles says that she gives her head of hair a nice refresher every couple of years. “I just need to kind of start over and liberate myself and feel empowered. I feel like so many women put so much of their power in their hair, and I was succumbing to that — like, spending so much time and money and energy on my hair.”

Not sure I can deny spending some time on my locks, and I’m sure a lot of you can’t either. But chopping it all off to solve the problem? You won’t find me with a pair of scissors anytime soon.

Aubrey O’Day Presents Ginger

We all seem to know and love us some Aubrey O’ Day (only for entertainment purposes of course), but I’m not sure I can say the same about Ms. Ginger. Aubrey claims her small pooch loves switching up her hairstyles. Dyes, paints and even foils are a constant part of this puppy’s daily routine! I have to admit it’s a bit amusing to watch, but that poor dog must hate the trips to the beauty salon!

Aubrey we get that you love the makeup, the big hair, and all the glamour, but maybe little Ginger doesn’t feel the same way.

Tyra Launches Beauty Inside And Out

Tyra Launches Beauty Inside And Out all indie

Just in time for tonight’s premiere of America’s Next Top Model, Tyra has let loose some news of her latest endeavor: an online magazine. Ms. Banks explained that website was designed to be real and raw, which I guess translates to one of her first pictures, when she finally reveals her real hair. Really? This just isn’t necessary.

Okay she can keep her talk show and Top Model, but she needs to nix the site. Anyone who has the phrase “dream big, ignore the haters, celebrate uniqueness, and seek the beauty in everything,” replaying via audio on the homepage just needs to stop.
