David Beckham The Musical?

As if he wasn’t famous enough, David Beckham has decided to put his life on a musical stage via a Broadway like production. His life story could be on its way to the London stage in the form of a “powerful, gospel-like rock” West End musical

David Beckham The Musical: will cover “his rise from obscurity to international stardom, his universally acknowledged gifts as a supreme sportsman, and his Hollywood lifestyle,” librettist Mark Archer told the Daily Telegraph on Tuesday.

“Beckham’s story is a modern-day fairytale of heroes, villains, love, Manchester United and what it means to lead your country,’’ explained Mark Archer, the songwriter behind this celebration of Beckham’s first 33 years. “His rise from obscurity to international stardom, his universally acknowledged gifts as a supreme sportsman, and his Hollywood lifestyle all have the elements of an aspirational fable.
“With football and celebrity now firmly established as new secular Western religions, The Theatre of Dreams is set within a cheering football stadium – the modern-day church. The music is powerful, gospel-like rock to establish clearly football and Manchester United as a religion.’’

So we’ve gone from made for tv movies to on-stage productions? Where is our entertainment industry heading? Wonder who will play him, cuz unless he plays himself I’m not going.

Commes des Garcons for H&M Will Make You Look Fat

We’ve got the first look of full collections from the Commes des Garcons line and we are less than impressed by what we see.  This collection makes the size zero model look like she’s packing some pounds on, which most likely means the average size 8′er out there will look like a mack truck in these oversized frumpalicious pieces.

The most promising item (and most likely the one which will sell out quickest) is the long navy jacket. The rest of the collection borders on clownwear, with full pants and polka dots.  

For men, there are some more promising items that may actually make it into my closet before the season closes. Whether or not this collection will see the draw or frenzy caused by Karl Lagerfeld’s party ready gear is still to be seen, but I see this collection falling flatter than a bedazzled sweatsuit designed Madonna.

I Kissed An Italian Designer’s Ass And I Liked It!

Katy Perry must be kissing more than girls lately seeing as though she landed herself in the spotlight of Milan Fashion Week with Dolce & Gabbana. Apparently she is too good for Mercedes Fashion Week and Fashion Indie Week Brooklyn seeing as though she won’t be participating. She totally sold out on Fashion Indie and her friends at New York Couture by not performing at, what may be the largest event during Fashion Week, the New York Couture fashion show at Mansion! Now since we heard she flaked out on us, we have decided to replace her with a ton of other performers that you won’t want to miss so be sure to come. Until then can we please try to de-throne Katy from the number one song on the charts, lets be honest we’re all over that song.

Next Sunday, the massive Manhattan retailer is showcasing a window display by GG costume designer, Eric Daman. The windows will feature clothes inspired by Blair, Serena, and Jenny, which will give you perfect ammo for the launch of Fashion Indie’s Gossip Girl Nights. We’ve just spotted the perfect location to give all you Gossip lovers a clear view of the windows (Our location is right next door to Bendels).
