Sneak Peek: Anya Hindmarch for Target
When Anya Hindmarch was first getting a lot of press, it wasn’t take long before I wanted to dropkick everything that wasn’t a plastic bag. But I’m kind of digging some pieces in her limited edition handbag collection for Target.
The line debuted at Target’s Bullseye Bodegas earlier this month. They sold out in the exclusive Manhattan locations, but are available Oct. 8 at anyahindmarch.com, and October 12 at Target.

Burberry Gets Lethal With Their New Clutch
Burberry was the last company I imagined making a clutch like this, but I’m glad they did. This clutch is the definition of “fierce” fashion, and one of the best pieces of the year if you ask me. Good luck getting it though, the waiting list is already up on the Burberry website. As if getting on the list weren’t hard enough, then you have to drop around $2,000 for the clutch. Totally worth it!

Mama’s Got a Brand New Bag: George, Gina and Lucy
Versatility. Convenience. Durability. Unmatchable style. The British designers of George, Gina & Lucy create bags, totes, cases and wallets with a completely unique look. True, these bags are relatively undiscovered in North America, but even so, chances are slim to none that you will ever see the same bag twice. With hundreds of styles in various materials like leather, nylon, canvas and silk, and an array of colors, the possibilities are endless.
George, Gina & Lucy bags accommodate any style and use. From paisley silk shoulder bags to sturdy canvas messengers, George, Gina & Lucy has something for everyone-athletes, moms, students, kids, jet setters. But despite the various sizes and styles, the common thread in the bag collection is the immense durability and strength. The carabineer look-a-like accessory and other hardware features only begin to foreshadow the strength of these bags.
Take it from a one-year veteran of a George, Gina and Lucy handbag, these bags are the best. Okay, so they are not exactly easy to find (my dad had to snag one for my in Munich…thanks dad!). Look hard enough and you can find these one of a kind bags in select boutiques in the West Village. Or, if you’re heading overseas anytime soon, pick one up in Europe! The best part is, you’ll constantly be stopped and asked, “where on earth did you get that great bag?”
Shop George, Gina & Lucy!

Michael Teperson Clutch
Michael Teperson’s designs in general didn’t strike me. They’re nice, but pretty grown-up-looking and plain. This Flute Feather Clutch is the exception. I’m obsessed with the Olsens and birds, so I love wearing anything feathery. I usually go faux to avoid having to pop Claritin all day, but I think this clutch is so hilarious and wonderful.
Teperson released his first collection of accessories in 2004, a few years after wrapping up studies at Parsons (Paris), the Royal College of Art, and Central St. Martin’s.

World’s Most Expensive Cupcake

Agreed that delicious, hot, chocolate cupcakes are the ultimate party food, but then do fashionistas and divas really care about the food at the parties? Nah! But then if you actually go ga-ga over the sight of choco cupcakes then here’s a luxurious alternative to display your love for the sinful treat. Whispered to be the World’s most expensive cupcake, obviously not an edible one though, women can dangle this Cupcake evening bag from Judith Leiber. Deliciously caked with loads of choco colored rocks and diamonds, this bag is designed to accommodate a stuff or two like a lipstick for a final touch up or a few bills to tip. And for $4295, who can dare to stuff it with insignificant stuff.

Design Discovery: SK8 Bags By BECK(Y)

It’s the precise combination of grit and posh, grimy and girly, downtown and uptown. Okay, all antonyms aside, walk down the street with one of these super dope Sk8 creations by NYC-based designer, Beck(y) on your arm and watch the haters hate. The handbags are constructed from the remnants of recycled skateboards and high-end materials such as leather and satin
The entire collection consists of the Square Mini Tote, the Curved Mini Tote, the Clutch, and the unisex Messenger bag, all of which are available in different colors. If you’re like Paris Hilton and love to coordinate, you could also cop a matching pair of hoop earrings and a pendant (although I highly advise against it), also born from dead skateboards. This is a prime example of wearable art, which is evidenced by the price- $100-150 each. Nonetheless, they’re definitely worth the investment.
