American Apparel Spoofs Make for Good Advertising

If imitation is the sincerest form of flattery than American Apparel is definitely loved my many. The brands signature ads have caused controversy for their borderline pornographic nature and have made Dov Charney  into the hipster Hugh Hefner of the new millennium.

We’re all about pushing the boundaries at Fashion Indie so we’re looking for your very best American Apparel farce ad. It can feature anything you want just so long as it’s in the American Apparel style. We’ll feature our favorite and send the winner two pairs of American Apparel undies. The more pornorific the better, just don’t get us in trouble with the FEDS.

First comes porn, then comes marriage.

Sexy kind-of…

I feel these might be actual ads?

Pretty sure The Dov is actually an ass

It’s ironic cause hipsters can’t fly.

thanks to trenddelacreme and buzzfeed for picts

Whether You Like It Or Not People Do Care What We Think!

Recently our beloved Editor Rebecca Alexander was asked to do an interview with Denim Therapy. Well, the article was written and is ready for all Rebecca’s amazing fans (and haters) to read. Believe it or not she isn’t the fashion snob that you all think she is.

Alexander says that it’s okay to wear Levi’s or Gap jeans, as long as you feel confident and sexy, and they fit your body type. “My biggest pet peeve is seeing someone on the street who is wearing ill-fitting denim, like two sizes too small or big, or their butt crack is peaking.”

To read the full interview with Rebeccas head over to Denim Therapy.

Hog Wild Over Stylehog

There are very few opportunities to use titles like that which is why we’re so glad we discovered Stylehog. The site is an online fashion magazine that lets you pig out on morsels of the latest runway trends. Best of all the writers are dedicated to figuring out cheap alternatives to some of the most sought after celeb looks and designer styles.

So you can basically find great trendible goodies without thinking twice about the price.  Oink!!!
