The fact that I somehow forgot to post Jil Sander’s Spring 2010 collection earlier is inexcusable, but look on the bright side, we’re that much closer to the gauze and linen goodness in store this spring! Overall, the line is relatively natural, encompassing earthy tones of beige and other basics. Sander played with cut outs and burn outs, mixing a fair amount of skin within a primarily tailored and androgynous collection. Loving the tattered, naturally worn out look of the gauze layers as well as the belting of oversized blazers!

In June, Burberry will launch a collection of 100 color products for eyes, lips, and skin with Inter Parfums SA, the holder of Burberry’s beauty license. The line will be carried in only 30 stores globally, including Nordstrom.

La Perla has launched a new website, aiming to bridge the gap between the e-commerce experience and shopping in their retail stores. The CEO, James Gardner stated, “One of the fairly common challenges facing brands with the previous generation of e-commerce sites is that the brand and shopping experiences are two separate experiences.”

We have all heard about the day rock and roll died, but everyone mark your calendar because Herbert Custodio dug it up and pissed on it’s ashes.This may be the worst collection I have ever seen. Not only does it make one of the greatest rock bands of all time look cheesy and lame, but to say it is “inspired” by the band KISS is a complete understatement. This is the direct result of someone trying to be two things they aren’t, a rocker AND a designer.

Designers such as Oscar de la Renta, Matthew Williamson, Alberta Ferretti, Yohji Yamamoto and Alexander McQueen grace the holiday windows of Bergdorf Goodman.

They might not be quite as enthralling as past seasons, but Alexander Wang’s Resort 2010 footwear collection still has me drooling a little bit! Carrying his distinct, protruding heel into the future, Wang has a pair of desert-boot oxfords, suede, gladiator heels and leather, riveted gladiators in store for us. The oxfords are a mere version of his leather oxfords out this season, but those gladiators, yeah, those need to be in my life and on my feet STAT.

Death. Demons. Shrimp? The Savannah, Georgia born Shrimp Sauce brings a little mischief to the their debut collection of tees. You can grab the collection which features knives, masked men, wolves and of course, shrimp at their newly opened online store.

This November, Mulberry will introduce a collection of accessories designed for Apple products. These accessories for men and women have been enhanced with features like padding, pockets and headphone access. The collection includes bags in Mulberry’s natural leathers as well as MacBook sleeves and small bags in various colors and prints.

Sony Ericsson has teamed up with Dolce and Gabbana to release a sexy little phone based on the Jalou design. The ‘IT’ gadget has a rose-coloured body and 24-carat gold plating, and features a 3.2 megapixel camera, mirror key and music player.

A short film has also been created specially for the phone and directed by film director Cyril Guyot.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen will be launching a new Junior’s brand exclusively at JCPenney called Olsenboye. To gear up for the launch of the new line, New Yorkers will have the chance to get an early peek at the new collection.

Starting today (10/26), JCPenney will be parking a “treat truck” for three days in three locations in NYC, for a sneak peek at some Olsenboye product, the Olsen’s will be making a surprise appearance at one of the three locations.

Rachel Freire is a London based designer whose debut fashion collection was presented at London Fashion Week with On|Off in February 2009 at the Science Museum in London.  Already her work has been seen in publications such as Dazed and Confused, AnOther, Issue One, Timeout London, Juxtapoz, Illustrated Ape, Art Business Today and Metro London.

Educated at Central Saint Martins, her influences stem from her love of historical costume combined with futuristic imagery. Behind the dramatic silhouettes and decadent embellishments, the pieces are designed to be wearable, durable and flattering.

I’m a huge fan of Karl’s work for Chanel, but when it comes to his namesake brand I feel we’re getting a bit shafted.

Especially considering the chunky piano-guitar player in the beginning. Seriously, no matter how hipster you’re trying to be, that will never, ever be cool.
