David Barton Talks: Fashionable Arms

It’s time to put away your winter layers and embrace sleeveless and sexy. David Barton has the tips you need to have some killer arms by summer.

Style icon and workout enthusiast, Jennifer Aniston has been spotted showing off her toned arms in this season’s hottest sleeveless sheath and mini dresses, one-shoulder tops and tanks. To look and feel your best in spring’s sleeveless trends, take control and tone up your arms. Grab a few dumbbells and get ready to flex.

For arms as toned as Jen’s, grab a dumbbell of the appropriate weight. The amount of weight may be light or heavy, but if it’s not heavy enough, it won’t result in any physiological change – the change you need to rock sleeveless dresses and tanks. If you’re strength training and you can do more than 12 reps of the weight you’re using, it’s time to up the degree of difficulty. You should increase your weights by small increments of 5 to 10 pounds so you can do 7 to 10 controlled rep’s. This will ensure you get your desired effect.

Start with the basic bicep curl using dumbbells and alternating arms. For triceps, hold one dumbbell with both hands behind your neck, elbows pointing to the ceiling and lift the weight over your head, straightening your arms.

If you pick up the weights, you’ll gain the confidence you need to pull off any sleeveless trend this spring.

I promise.
