Grasping the roots of her work of strong components of inspiration, Betty Pepper has arrived on the scene. Choosing to integrate stories, memories and countless other aspects of the past allows the designer to create pieces with a wide range in character. Not only do the works draw from the past, they hit on the two ideas of over-hearings and misgivings. Using fabrics and textual devices as central aspects of the pieces, Betty mends designs with personality. “My work often deals with stories from the dim and distant past. This is why I choose to work with faded colours. I like the way they look as if they have lived a little,” says Betty. Earrings and necklaces come in a wide range of colors, from basic blacks and whites to more diverse reds, blues, and greens. The great thing about the jewelry is that these accessories can make or break an ensemble. Walk down the street in any old outfit without the right additions and you’re not heading in the right direction, but head down the street with a Betty Pepper earring swaying in confidence and you can’t go wrong.

Story by Marissa Moshell, Student

When I started this internship I was a quiet, innocent, polite girl. Now I find myself bashing poorly dressed celebrities and trannys thanks to the influence of Daniel Saynt.I am a huge Metro Station fan. My true inspiration for writing is my desire to gain equality for all lactose intolerant folks in the work place. My goal is to prove to the fashion world that we too are people and that we can change the world one Soy Milk mustache at a time!
