Japanese designer Jen Kao is brand new on the scene but already featured on several lists as a top new designer and someone to keep an eye on. Her breakthrough sequin jackets and intricate dresses are favorites of young stars already and the campaign for her Spring 2008 Collection was shot by the credited Ryan McGinley. Kao says her inspiration comes from her grandmother, who exposed her to the Japanese fables, culture and artistry she uses for ideas. More then anything, Kao, wants to always uphold the integrity of the design, which is extremely apparent through her new line. The collection of jumpers, dresses and trousers are perfect for young women who want to stand out but still look polished.

keeping it short and sweet being an intern for Fashion Indie, which rocks!
