Designer Discovery: Lovisa Burfitt
Just in time for tonight’s spook-tacular events, we’ve scoped out Lovisa Burfitt, a Paris based designer, with an aesthetic so versatile, it’s scary! Her fall 2008 lookbook may scream The Adams Family or Alfred Hitchcock, but Burfitt’s individual pieces are elegant and dramatic. From the corsets to the sculptured collars to the beautiful layering and ruffles, Burfitt not only knows how to glamorize women, she knows how to style them too! Okay, so the top hats and face paint may be a bit overboard if you aren’t hitting up the swanky New York Halloween parties. Take it down a few notches with simple makeup, a carefree up-do, a fitted blazer or sweater, and Burfitt has you ready for a night on the town!
