The name of the designer is Haruo Suekichi and he has made thousands of watches, each with an individual name. The company is called Steampunk. Read an interview with him here.

Def the name of the company that makes these. And no one stated that the Japanese invented the 'trend,' the company that makes these is Japanese. And Zita, we weren't sparking this already popular trend, we were letting our readers know about this particular company that makes these awesome watches...

We definitely know steampunk is a genre of fashion, but I think this might actually be the name of the company that makes these.

So perhaps I am just reading this incorrectly... But Steampunk is a genre, not a designer.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steampunk

And the Japanese didn't invent it. I know it's shocking, a nerdy thing that the Japanese didn't invent?

Am I just reading this wrong, and Steampunk is the name of a specific Japanese company which produced this specific watch?

Anyway, this just made me wonder why I subscribe to this silly blog, "before the trend" *giggles*

mayeb before it hits mainstream trendyness.. its been trendy in geek circles for years.

and this means the fashion included....

I mean its trendy enough that I had already attended a steampunk themed party within the year.... here are a couple of the photos of my geeky friends and myself in steampunk style
