Designer: T. Tandon

Designer: T. Tandon

Fulfilling a life-long dream to start up her own label, designer Tina Tandon has put an impressive 10 years of experience to the test. After working alongside successful designers and gaining important insight, it was time for T. Tandon; a label full of fun, flirty and elegant designs. Using natural fibers and materials such as cotton, silk, and wool, Tina uses her intuitive sense of exploration to infuse her designs with a taste of different cultures. Of doing so, she exclaims that it allows her to find “exotic beauty and balance in her collections.” Creating an impressive collection of feminine, elegant dresses, Tina finds herself designing pieces that appeal to a wide range of people. The color use and design themes are not central to one specific tactic or idea; instead, they focus on versatility and the countless forms and silhouettes that versatility can create. It’s important to the designer that you recognize a sense of “modern vintage;” these are pieces, which reinvent the past, while keeping timeless creations in check. All in all, the designer has a great collection.

Story by Marissa Moshell, Student

When I started this internship I was a quiet, innocent, polite girl. Now I find myself bashing poorly dressed celebrities and trannys thanks to the influence of Daniel Saynt. I am a huge Metro Station fan. My true inspiration for writing is my desire to gain equality for all lactose intolerant folks in the work place. My goal is to prove to the fashion world that we too are people and that we can change the world one Soy Milk mustache at a time!
