Holding onto a historical context in order to tie it in with modern design, Wendee Oue has hit the scene. The designer, refusing to create pieces to be worn with a limit, has dedicated her talent to threading magnificent designs with timeless character. The bags Wendee creates are both functional and stylish. As opposed to your average handbag or briefcase, it’s important to the designer that every inch of the design is carefully planned out. The designing doesn’t just cover the surface; lurking among the inside interior of each bag are the inner-workings of even more fabulous design, composed with polka dots or stripes. Of her inspiration, Wendee says it heads straight back into the “echoes of Art Deco; of a period when function and style were inextricably linked.” With top-notch materials such as fine Italian or Japanese leather, there’s no wonder each bag appears as beautiful as they do. With a design that not only looks great, but has great purpose as well, you really can’t loose.

Story by Marissa Moshell, Student

When I started this internship I was a quiet, innocent, polite girl. Now I find myself bashing poorly dressed celebrities and trannys thanks to the influence of Daniel Saynt. I am a huge Metro Station fan. My true inspiration for writing is my desire to gain equality for all lactose intolerant folks in the work place. My goal is to prove to the fashion world that we too are people and that we can change the world one Soy Milk mustache at a time!
