Designer To Know: ArtlabDesigner To Know: ArtlabDesigner To Know: Artlab

Just when you thought you’d never see another pair of tattered jeans or a distressed t-shirt on the street, the fashion gods strike back, making tears, rips, wrinkles and crumples trendier than ever. But let’s be honest, with absolutely everyone breaking out their destroyed denim shorts, us trendy, yet unique, fashionables need something a little different.

Needless to say, as soon as I came across Artlab’s distressed array of neckwear, button-ups, tees, accessories, dresses and suits, I fell in L-O-V-E, love! The natural vintage aesthetic completely puts the forced destruction of garments to shame. The best thing about these pieces? They’re one of a kind, created exclusively by designer Patricia Ayres, with unique printmaking and the inspiration from her dreams, memories and urban landscapes. Ugh, what I wouldn’t do for my own custom distressed pantsuit!
