DESIGNER TO KNOW: Golden Goose

New York had quite the taste of summer last weekend with it’s sunny skies and warm weather. With gladiator sandals on my feet, the last thing I want to think about is cramming my toes back into boots, but when I came across Golden Goose, a shoe and basic apparel company, I simply had to fawn over them. Golden Goose designs an array of pre-distressed riding boots, cowboy boots, sneakers, heels and sandals, all of which are made of premium leather and hardware. These have got to be some of the most gorgeous, well-made boots i’ve ever seen, and with the amazing distressing, chains and studs, I probably would never let them leave my feet. 

So, how much will a pair of Golden Goose boots set you back? $300? $400? No…try $500+ for sneakers, $600+ for sandals and well over $1200 for boots! I know…my jaw hit the floor too. Despite their incredible footwear, I guess Golden Goose has a thing or two to learn about the recession. I guess these boots are just a distant dream until I’ve got that corner office at W Magazine…
