Runway: Erin Fetherston, Fall 08

I have been seeing Erin Fetherston’s name floating around more often lately so I decided to check out her line.  I usually review a designer’s new line with open arms and optimism, but I am quite confused about her Spring 2008 presentation.  Can someone tell me when it gets good?  I would have to say this season the models make the clothes and let’s face it, not all of us can throw on anything and look infallible.  There must be one outfit I approve of and one blouse that I find “cute,” and I could probably find them somewhere else in a more original way.  I think what I am trying to say is… I am not impressed. 

            

It’s like the wardrobe of an elementary school teacher…. or, a suburban soccer mom. 

 But all is not lost with Miss Fetherston!  I am intrigued with her fall/winter 2007 line.  I was actually able to use two hands to count how many pieces I liked. My top three…

           

Hey I could be wrong though, maybe Erin is on to something this spring.
