Daniel Saynt – Editor-In-Chief, FashionIndie.com President, Fashion Indie Media
Daniel Saynt is a fashion & style savant with over seven years of experience in retail management and merchandising with companies such as Joseph Abboud and Club Monaco. Former marketing manager for SalesOffline.com, a boutique marketing firm, Saynt’s focus on independent fashion was sparked early. Offering fresh perspectives on the world of emerging fashion, Saynt has fueled a growing community of style seekers and fashion trendsetters. After graduating with a B.A. in Electronic Commerce from Berkeley College, Saynt took his dotcom knowledge into the emerging fashion field helping create FashionIndie.com.
Loves: Anna Wintour (totally not platonic), Radar Magazine, Love Brigade Souldiers, capitalism, not being an asshole, free clothing, sample sales where everything is like 70% off of more, front row anywhere during New York Fashion Week, after parties that don’t suck.
Hates: The Gap and the evil it stands for (also Walmart, Starbucks, McDonalds), finger foods (really what’s the point), the term “metrosexual”, long lines at sucky clubs, diva designers (unless you really know your shit), anyone who doesn’t know about Fashion Indie (come on people we get more monthly views than most magazines get circulation and we’re really, really nice).
Busie Matsiko – Chief Executive Officer
Her ability to connect concepts to resources has been the factor that has taken FashionIndie.com from independent fashion blog to budding independent fashion media company. Formerly with CitiGroup and an integral part of Seedco, a financial advisory organization, Busie brings a real world perspective to the fashion world of Fashion Indie.
Felicia Morton – Vice President of Business Strategy and Communications
Felicia Morton is a Manhattan-based PR and marketing consultant who specializes in re-energizing brands by developing creative campaigns to reach top media and tastemakers. By creating integrated strategies involving traditional media, social networks and events, she drives preference for a diverse range of companies including The Body Shop, Nintendo, Australian Wool Innovation/Woolmark, P&G Beauty, Novo Nordisk, Saks Fifth Avenue and Maurices. In addition, she has spearheaded innovative designer collaborations for New York Fashion Week and Gen Art runway shows. Prior to her PR career, Felicia gained international experience as a fashion and business reporter for The Prague Post. She also worked as an online journalist for Boston.com and The WashingtonPost.com. Felicia Morton earned an MA in Business and Journalism from Boston University.

Loves: Vodka (duh), Marc Jacobs (despite the bullshit from the last
show), Vanilla Lattes from Starbucks (despite what Daniel thinks), NY
Fashion Week, the Love Brigaders, my dogs Calvin Klein and Prada,
brunettes (used to be blond), getting into clubs without waiting in
line, Russia (the country), Fashion Indie (of course)!Hates: Forever 21, anything fast food, crowded subways with smelly
people, models (and anyone who thinks they’re a model, and I used to
be one), Perez Hilton (come on people, more important issues in the
world besides Lindsay!), celebrity fashion designers that have no clue
(basically all of them), fake designer crap (Chinatown is Hell on
Earth)!

Who can I contact about sending in a few product samples?
My siblings and I just launched a new site called savvycircle.com and we think your readers will LOVE the service since they are the type who want to be “in the know”. Basically, you download a plugin for your browser (shows up as a little button near the URL box) and start online shopping on our supported sites. When you see an item you like, but don’t want to pay full price for it, you click the button and it’ll save the item in your shopping list on savvycircle.com. When the item goes on sale, we’ll send you an email notification with a link back to the site. You will never miss another online sale!
Check it out…www.savvycircle.com. If you like the service, please post it on your site!!
Thanks for your time!
Kristin

The tagline on your main page says “We are the voice of the young designers movement. We are where fashion begins.” I think your site is more about exposing new talent which while definitely needed, isn’t exactly where it *starts*. The stuff has to get made first. In that vein http://www.fashion-incubator.com has been the voice of new designers (#1 site for nearly 3 years). It explains where fashion REALLY begins -iow, how to start a clothing line- the raw, the ugly, the frustrating aggravation along with joys and successes. I think your site provides valuable exposure for new talent once the clothes are actualized. It’s a great way to interest consumers and get a line rolling.
Great site! Like everyone above, I too have found a passion and developed a product. My product, the “hip-T” offers woman of all ages an opportunity to “cover their assets”! Yep, low rise =’s an overabundance of exposed bum cleavage! Northern cleavage - very sexy, butt crack, or as the dictionary states it “gluteal cleft”, not so sexy. Especially when everyone from behind must be subjected to the siting, skinny or chubby - not a classy look. Peek-a-boo panties - who cares what you have on down under. Save it for someone who really cares! Layer without the bulky layers and feel free to bend, squat and sit without a breeze. It’s a breeze, pull it on over your low rise, shimmy it up to about your waistband and hip area, shirt lays neatly on top and off you go. Would love a feature! Talk with you soon and I’d love any tips from Kate! Best, Christine
