Bewitching Wares at Pixie Market

         May 28th, 2007

Though the team at Fashion Indie has expressed our love of [and hope for] the Lower East Side countless times prior to this, I can’t help but bring up the ‘up-and-coming’ neighborhood. What used to line the streets of my old haunts in the LES, are now replaced with high-priced boutiques. For the most-part, many of these new boutiques are seemingly carbon copies of themselves. Only the newest addition to Stanton Street, Pixie Market, managed to peak my attention.

The boutique seems to be fashioned in the vein of a candy shop for die-hard, indie loving ladies. Vibrant colors, kitschy dresses, and adorable yet sleek shoes all adorn the space. The fact that their inventory includes hard-to-find true indie gems, such as Crispin and Basilio, Wonder Twins, Tanja-Kuehl,and Maud, makes it a vibrant beacon of truly noteworthy style in the LES.
