The two Trovata founders who abruptly left critically acclaimed fashion label back in December are returning to their fashion roots next spring. WWD reports that Sam Shipley and Jeff Halmos have “quietly and without the buzz their previous gig afforded them” been working on a fashion label named after themselves called , Shipley & Halmos. The two have left their Cali roots to set up shop in New York with a contemporary collection that is quickly shaping up to be a must have for true indienistas. Combining muted shades like cream and cobalt with expert tailoring no doubt learned from their years at Trovata, the collection offers refreshing spring styles for the modern working woman. Hopefully I won’t have to wait too long for a mens collection from these award winning designers.
