Holiday Butterflies!!!

I was pre-holiday window shopping for myself at Big Drop NYC and stumbled across a beautiful butterfly print top. Whenever I find something I love I ALWAYS check the label to make note of the genius behind the dress. To my pleasant surprise another one of my Parson’s Paris colleagues , just like the wonderful Mara Hoffman, who has created a small spot in this huge industry of fashion design. Richard Ruiz is his name and making a lady beautiful has always been his game!!!

Back in school Richard was an over achiever in design creating Westwood like tailored jackets and, corsets paired with luxurious beaded chiffon skirts. In the past decade I always wondered why he never had his own line because he was a strong talented individual,turns out he was busy dressing pop star legends of today.
