Update…
Hi there indies,
So I’ve been away for a while and just wanted to send out an update on what is going on with me and FI. I will be taking over Daniel Saynt’s (yes he insists on using his full name) position as Editor-And-Chief, which is very exciting! I have been working on getting more writers for Fashion Indie, because honestly I’m sick of Daniel’s perspective on everything (jk!). This will bring you guys more updates, trends, events, and designer discoveries.
Also, as Daniel mentioned, we have been in contact with MTV’s True Life to possibly do a “I’m Going to Fashion Week.” It’s still all in the works but we are meeting with them later today and are totally nervous (I changed my outfit four times this morning)!
I am in the process of writing an article on current trends that will get you into the Spring. It’s hard to know what is going on with the weather being in the 60s in January, but I got the low down on that for you and will post that ASAP!
Fashion Week is going to be very hectic for us this year. With over 60 invites and so little time, picking and choosing which shows to hit will be oh so difficult. But expect updates on all our favorite designers, their newest collections, and the shows, including the Love Brigaders, Malan Breton, Alisha, New York Couture, Tracy Reece, and soooo many more! We are also in the works with creating an independent fashion week for NY to bring you guys shows that are just too cool to happen at Bryant Park (that is sooo last season)!!!
As Trendible and Fashion Indie come together more, many changes will happen. So we have been toying with the idea of merging the offices and opening up a store front for retail space. This will work more like a gallery for designers, we will showcase the newest designers and their latest and best pieces which will all be available for sale. This will bring togather the indie world of fashion and give all you guys an awesome place to shop. Let me know what you guys think…..Good idea???
Thanks all for listening and for all the support from the indie community.
