Sinners & Saynt: Blast from the Past
Sorry Indies, again. Totally having a blast from the past moment as I realize how far Fashion Indie has come in the past three years. Here are some postcards from our sorted past. If you like any of the designs be sure to contact us and our graphic team can batch up a cool looking piece just for you.

Remember Market. 63. It was oh so worth the trip.
Greatest trunk show ever. The owner of the venue (which has since closed down) decided to come three hours late to open up, on both days!!! Yeah, that was fun.
One of the many Love Brigade events we’ve been a part of (yeah, we kind of really like them). Come on Alyssa Key let’s just have a love child already!!! (on a sidenote, their new COOP is the shiznit and DJ Tinypants is currently working on a t-shirt line. Further greatness from these indie darlings).
Fashion Homicide died pretty quick. Apparently some of the looks we bashed we’re considered fashion Do’s by a couple Brooklynites. Sorry if you fashion sense makes me vomitous.

Fashion Fruit will return in February so keep you apples peeled.
Recap of the designers we brought to the table for this event. One recent CFDA nominee, three Project Runway star designers, and two Bryant Park regulars. Yeah, we travel in good circles.
After our fashion show on the Tyra Banks Show, we decided to host another event for Annie S. Limited (the designer). The show was supposed to happen in some random restaurant where the Coca Cola sign is (you can see it from the west side highway) but we canceled when they tried springing a $3000 bill for the rental of some outside tent (WHY DO PEOPLE SUCK SO BAD!!! I MEAN ARE YOU FLIPPIN KIDDING ME. WE ALREADY HAD A SH*T STORM OF DRAMA FROM SOME OTHER CANCELED SHOW AND NOW YOU WANT TO PUSH THIS GARBAGE HEAP ON US. - come back. come back. come back to me - phew. Okay, - breathe - thanks Rebecca). We moved the show a few hours before it was supposed to start and we still had a room backed to the walls with people.

Aw, remember Burrow? Yeah neither do we. The owner was publicly hated on, plus they had a horrible rat problem. Nothing says professional fashion organization like a damp basement and rat droppings. We learned to hold off on pet projects like this one and focus on more viable pursuits. Would definetly consider bringing this back though, if anyone could offer a space in Manhattan or Brooklyn.

Prevent bad photoshop effects syndrome.
We still firmly believe in this idea cause we still fully love all indies. p.s. totally remember when our tag line was “where fashion grows”. Might bring it back if we ever go more into eco-friendly fashion.
The network was fun and still exists. Of course now it’s freeish.
We Love Your Fashion was a really fun tagline for a while. Me and Rachael J (no longer with Fashion Indie, she’s on to bigger and better projects) used to say this randomly to Fashion Week people as a joke cause we really didn’t. Yes the clothing hating started early.
Hope you like the trip down memory lane.
