The Story Gets Better: Corey Delany Sunglasses

16 Jan 2008

Corey Delaney Worthington
Haven’t seen the video? Watch it here
If you don’t know The Corey Story here’s a recap. Some 16 year old Aussie troublemaker/genius decided to host a crazy house party while his parents were away on vacay. 500 people showed up, nudity and drunkenness ensued (do these two ever go it alone), neighbors complained, and the cops were called in to break shit up. Long story short the kid was fined $20,000 for his little adventures. On the local news, Corey presented himself as some slacker, f-the establishment, anti-hero which any kid would jump at the chance to party with. The videos shooting up the Youtube charts and Corey Delany will most likely be the name you’re gonna want to remember.

Now, his infamous glasses (the ones he refuses to take off) are for sale at CoreyDelaney.com. I would buy them, dude needs the money.

Hey Corey.

If you’re reading this. Let’s do an interview.

You totally rock.

The Demon Barber of Fleet Street makes his way into theaters this Christmas and with him comes partner in crime Mrs.Lovett, the friendly little pie maker who assists Sweeney in his devilish deeds. With a Burtonesque style that is hard to master, Mrs.Lovett is inspired by the darkly gothic tale of revenge. Bob Dylan’s “I’m Not There” Style

20 Nov 2007

bob dylan style

With the new Bob Dylan biopic “I’m Not There” making it into theaters this week it seems that Dylanmania finally has the potential of influencing style. Cate Blanchette’s portrayal as a disillusioned young Dylan has sent a few trendsetting stylistas skipping the “dress for success” model and opting for a firm fitted look from some menswear designers. Aside from heading to Brooks Brothers for some Thom Browne separates, here are some looks that might fit your inner rolling stone. How does it feel?

Mr.Black Shades - $13.00
Neal Sperling White Button Shirt - $129
Guitar Pick Earrings - $39.95
Harmonica - $45.01

Jean-Michel Cazabat Terry Stretch Patent Bootie - $535

Jovovich-Hawk Keith Richards Suit - $775

P.S. If you’re looking for a more modern take on Dylan, check out Love Brigade’s Fall collection Highway Dylan Revisited. Dylan’s mug makes an appearance on a few of the futuristic pieces.

Fall Fashion Trend #1: Jeans With a Little More Room…

14 Sep 2007

Fashion Indie Fall Looks
The jury is in and the verdict is that the wide leg fit is definitely on it’s way back. Though the tide is turning when it comes to trendy jean fits, I feel compelled to hold on to my love for the skinny jean [and hold on to a style that doesn't make me look like a potato].

However, I do envy those that can pull off the wide leg look exquisitely. My thinking is, if you’re going to go wide, do it to the extreme. Which is why I’m absolutely enamored with Goldsign’s Scandal Super Wide Leg Jean. They’re a little bit retro and a lot sexy.

Specs:
Denim pant with flap pockets at front and tab detail at back. Snap closure at pockets and waist. Worn spots at edges. Extra-wide, flared leg.

7.5″ rise. 35″ inseam.
100% cotton.
Wash cold.
Made in the U.S.A.

Bring On The Fall

01 Sep 2007

I got my first whiff of fall yesterday as I tried to travel the drunken hipster and fibster (fake hipster) streets of the Lower East Side. My nippliage was showing a full peak as chilling breeze after breeze kept hitting my chest. Today I’m shopping for a jacket. You should do the same. This Hanii Y Knit Sleeve Open Neck Jacket is perfect for looking fall ready. Paired with a Rachel Pally V Neck Side Drape Dress and you have yourself which is one half conversation piece (Admirer - Where did you get that awesome jacket? You - Oh this old thing. That lovely fellow from Fashion Indie told me to buy it so idiots like you can ask me about it. Now step away from my fashion greatness you’re soiling it with you sub-par style) and on half fall chill buster.
