Hey Indies. Here’s a new fairly original little shoe designer out of Italy that is making some major waves in the US for it’s collection of affordable ($200 is affordable right?) collection of metalic shoesies. Apapezza’s collection of shoes have a look that includes futuristic silver, leather bullet wedge booties. Ultra shiny metallic zip shoe with a lean tapered toe and silver shade to clear heels. You can find the shoes at OAK which are on sale for 40% off. Happy shoepping. (shoe shopping, new word so write it down and spread it like butter.)

The Demon Barber of Fleet Street makes his way into theaters this Christmas and with him comes partner in crime Mrs.Lovett, the friendly little pie maker who assists Sweeney in his devilish deeds. With a Burtonesque style that is hard to master, Mrs.Lovett is inspired by the darkly gothic tale of revenge. Here are some picks to copy her unique look.

With the new Bob Dylan biopic “I’m Not There” making it into theaters this week it seems that Dylanmania finally has the potential of influencing style. Cate Blanchette’s portrayal as a disillusioned young Dylan has sent a few trendsetting stylistas skipping the “dress for success” model and opting for a firm fitted look from some menswear designers. Aside from heading to Brooks Brothers for some Thom Browne separates, here are some looks that might fit your inner rolling stone. How does it feel?
Mr.Black Shades - $13.00
Neal Sperling White Button Shirt - $129
Guitar Pick Earrings - $39.95
Harmonica - $45.01
Jean-Michel Cazabat Terry Stretch Patent Bootie - $535
Jovovich-Hawk Keith Richards Suit - $775
P.S. If you’re looking for a more modern take on Dylan, check out Love Brigade’s Fall collection Highway Dylan Revisited. Dylan’s mug makes an appearance on a few of the futuristic pieces.

Loeffler Randall Matilde Flat Wedge Leather Boot
With Fall so rapidly approaching (feeling it here as my nipples harden at my desk, why is it so cold?) it’s about time to trade it the seriously overused ballet slippers for some real shoes, or in this case boots. Chic, versatile, and impeccably crafted, this leather wedge boot is classic Loeffler Randall with a style that is easy to love for years.
Distressed-leather boot with seam detail at front and sides. The boot features a 1″ covered wedge heel and 15″ shaft for giving you a little lift and maximum coverage from the falls chilling bite (seriously I’m gonna need to close a window, I just sliced through my shirt. :-()

Everyone and their father knows what’s the big thing this fall in womenswear, menswear. Which is one reason why I must thoroughly endorse these Oxford inspired pumps from Pedro Garcia (not the kid from Napoleon Dynamite, or is he?). The pump is perfect for dressing up a pair of jeans or for giving a belted baby doll (people are still wearing those right?) a much needed dash of class. Would also see these pairing well with anything from Samantha Pleet (damn this girl is good).
Leather pump with pleating at vamp and lace-up tie at upper. 1/2″ stacked platform and 3.75″ stacked heel. Leather sole. Dust bag included.Made in Spain. This item cannot be gift-boxed.Sizing conversion: 36=US 6, 36.5=6.5, 37=7, 37.5=7.5, 38=8, 38.5=8/8.5, 39=8.5, 39.5=9, 40=9.5

Labor Day might be right around the corner but only clueless fashionistas give up white after the summer. I just came across this Dolce Vita York Bootie, which is just begging to be your transition shoe as the warm weather gives way to fall chills.
While the boot comes in a number of colors including cobalt and black, the white version is only available at Shopbop.com. A sexy heel combined with a stylish ankle boot makes this shoe a must have for ladies who want to have their cake and eat it too, and with this $195 shoe you’ll have a bit more cash in your pocket for frosting, a cherry and a latte to boot.
Pick up your pair today at Shopbop.com.

For the fall season, purple ruled the runway. A color that once signified royalty due to it’s high production cost (see, Fashion Indie teaches you things), the deep hued shade made appearances at a number of shows including that of indie hero, Zac Posen. Working well with shades of burgundy, gray and blacks adding this color to your wardrobe is as easy as finding the right accessory or dress. Just don’t over do it on the purple power, the last thing you want is for someone to confuse you for an over joyous dancing dinosaur.
Here are some prickly plum picks for punctuating your purple palette people…
1. What Comes Around Goes Around Jacky Satin Top
2. Kale Metallic Weyman Clutch
3. Moschino Cheap & Chic Open Toe Patent Kiltie
4. Shaoo Patent & Porcelain Necklace
5. Foley for Foley + Corinna Jersey Cocktail Dress
