New York Fashion Week
Online media publisher offers young designers packaged recession-ready runway shows for New York Fashion Week starting at $5000.

Brooklyn, NY - Designers looking for a way to showcase their collections during New York Fashion Week will have some major help this February from fashionindie media. The company behind industry-shifting FashionIndie.com, will provide three designers a recession-ready runway package for showcasing their collections during fashionindie week.

After a successful 2008 season that included a record breaking runway march across the Brooklyn Bridge and a showcase of fresh New York based talents such as New York Couture, Brooklyn Royalty, Love Brigade, and Rachel Antonoff, fashionindie media is proud to provide designers a new reason to love the budding hub for emerging fashion.

“We realized a need in the industry for a low-cost provider. A fashion show at Bryant Park isn’t a viable option for a young designer and staging a successful show outside the tents can easily run designers tens of thousands of dollars,” says fashionindie president Daniel Saynt. “By working with sponsors and creating a buzz-worthy event that will attract editors and buyers in town for fashion week, we are hoping to revitalize a market that is suffering due to the economy.”

That revitalization will take the shape of a fashion show concert currently dubbed fashionindie, ROCKS!!! t o be held at Gotham Hall, 1356 Broadway@36th Street on Friday, February 13th from 8PM – 11PM. Just mere blocks from the runways of Diane Von Furstenburg and Calvin Klein, the event will pair young designers with up & coming musical talents for a rock and roll concert that will completely change the traditional runway show.

Selected designers will have the chance to showcase their collections during live performances to a crowd of over 1000 guests including editors, buyers, celebrities, and new media press. fashionindie media will provide designers with a hair and make-up team, a full-length runway, lighting and music management and ten runway trained models. Fashionindie’s full runway package is $7000; $5000 without models.

For those designers looking to stage smaller in-studio showcases, the media group is offering a $150 promotional package that includes inclusion in fashionindie week’s Calendar of Events. The calendar will be made available online and will be distributed to over 10,000 registered press and attendees from former fashionindie events.
