Hailing from Pasadena, sisters Kate and Laura Mulleavy, are not what you’d expect. Their sophisticated designs are much more Paris couture then California. With their strict attention to detail and romantic feminine appeal they have earned recognition from the best in the business.

This years Fall/Winter 2008 collection certainly didn’t disappoint expectations. A bevy of dresses, knits and stud detailing, ranging in color from pale creams and peach to blacks, reds and electric blue. Each outfit was paired with crocheted stockings, studded gloves and spiked metallic heels. A dress in lime fit for Tinkerbell was especially adorable, as was a striped, long sleeved mini. There were tutu dresses, cropped pants and three flowy, floor skimming goddess dresses as the last pieces. Overall this collection was a refreshing blast of goodness from a fashion week that has failed to impress.
