First Look: Attachment AW08 Collection

Attachment has recently released their new Fall 2008 collection to stores, and it seems to be taking a similar focus as many of the other companies we have seen this year. The wilderness seems to be a big theme this year, with subtle plaids, heavy wools, and wooden accents. However, this line also features and even darker side too. The gray and black pieces focus on another demographic all together. This line seems to be splt up between a more urban look (blacks and grays) as well as a more suburban look (plaids and wooden accents). Compared to previously mentioned collections, this is first to combine the two in one season. What truly impresses me, is how a lot of the key pieces (pants and shoes) are easily styled different ways to fit both collections, where as your defining pieces (coats, shirts and sweaters) really put you in either category. What do you think indies, should more designers do lines that appeal to multiple settings? Or stick to a solid theme or look?
