i can not believe that is gemma! she looks so….normal.

and i say that, having worked with models, who honestly, never look normal to me. (granted, im only 5’2 so i was always looking up).

i agree with daniel, that she should try to skip this coming fashion week (hey, lots of designers are!) and lose the weight slowly. but, if she does lose the weight the healthy way, she risks another young skinny thing replacing her.

I was having a shitty day so I bashed, sorry.

But, personally I feel that if it’s your job to be thin and ready for the runway, then you should be thin and ready for the runway. She obviously blimped up and now she’s going to starve herself and over exercise to be ready to hit the runway in February.

If she was smart she’d skip out on fashion week this season and safely loose the weight she gained to be ready for september, but she won’t cause thats the industry we’re in.

I’m against anorexia and the practice of rush dieting and starvation to be ready for the runway. She’s probably going to loose the weight, then hit the cover of People magazine sharing her “miracle” diet (aka vomiting and 10 hour days of gym time), and we’re going to stare at our growing waist line and think theres something wrong with us.

Sorry I seemed mean. I get that she’s grieving and that food was her method for doing it. But if she drops the 30 pounds in the next month, you know how it will be done.

Umm, Gemma was possibly the best model for a while
and then she dropped out
Now she’s fat so she obviously won’t get as much work
Which isn’t fair because she is an amazing model
So she should slim down again so she can be on top

You saw what happened to Ali Michael
When she stopped being anorexic (I understand it is sad. She was 15 and all) she stopped getting as much work
And she could have been BIG (as in famous) but she ruined her career

So Gemma really cannot take that risk, especially since she already dropped out for a few years
