Another day, another PETA moment. This time, with top actress Gwyn Paltrow who is the new spokesperson for Tod’s and appears in their latest campaign wearing a fur shawl.

The organization told the Independent:

“Gwyneth Paltrow won’t be the apple of her daughter’s eye if she continues to flaunt fur.”

The vegetarian charity Viva! is also upset with Paltrow. Its spokesperson says:

“There is nothing feminine about inserting an electrode into the anus of a terrified and struggling fox and then electrocuting it. Ms Paltrow is an actress — and seemingly a particularly stupid one at that.”

Most of our readers know that here at FI we are not against the choice to wear fur, everyone has the right to make their own decisions and act on what they believe is right or wrong. PETA on the other hand, forces their opinion on everyone, and is completely shameless regarding the way they go about it. Who are they to judge the feelings of Gwyn’s daughter, and what right do they have to involve her. Chris Martin is a vegetarian, therefore she is obviously aware of what is going on, yet is still called awful names and completely degraded in front of the media for the publicity gain of PETA. They should be ashamed of themselves.
