I liked the points you made in this article, even if I'm a little late in reading it. It inspired my oral presentation on fashion and feminism. Thanks.

This is quite the thorny issue and I commend you for bringing it up. I disagree with you on the cumshot ad, I think that one is pretty bad. But I think the real issue here is not that women necessarily find all these ads offensive, it's the issue that there is such a distinct dividing line between what women do in ads versus what men do. As you mention, in Europe and more fashion-forward countries (and one's that weren't dominated by puritanical/victorian views for centuries) this sort of advertisement is completely acceptable. The difference, however, is that in Europe you see men in these sorts of advertisements as well. Men's underwear, men's fragrance, fashion...they all feature men in a more sexual, playful light.
So maybe what this comes down to is that it's not an issue of exploitation of women but rather of oppression of men. While women seem to be forced into this sexual role, men are denied it. But don't even get me started on our social roles, we're just talking advertising here.

I agree that the only one I found shocking was the Nikon ad. Makes me want to punch them in the face. It's not beautiful or abstract in any way. It is blatant and boring. I find it offensive because they picked two YOUNG girls who look like they want to have a threesome with Mr. Camera Man. I certainly would not be impressed by a guy with a little a point-and-shoot. This as is SO cheap.

I think the Dolce ad is beautiful. That's their brand. It's who they are. I also like the Remy ad because it's fun. I'm not offended. Any modern woman has had that same experience, right? It appeals to our generation. Isn't that what ads are supposed to do?
The BMW ad is a little creepy, just because the girl looks 15 and the tagline is "you know you're not the first."
They are marketing towards older men, and it kind of freaks me out. They get an F for creativity and suggesting underage sex. Makes me think anyone with a BMW is a pedophile, and I'm sure that's not the idea they were going for.
