These flops are the worst I have ever seen. A buyer gave me a free pair last summer after she attended one of the gift shows. I gave them a try just for fun. Not only were they completely ugly, they were the most uncomfortable flops I've ever worn. I cannot imagine anyone wearing them (not while sober anyway). Everybody makes flops now and the prices are at rock bottom for some really cute, comfortable designs ... even though this company has dropped their prices continuously, they are still way over priced. There are much better options in the marketplace today.

Hotflops are indeed NOT for everyone. I got a free pair at a trade show last summer and while the lady at the showroom who worked for Hotflops was lovely, the flops were extremely uncomfortable. I actually thought they looked ridiculous, boarding on tacky, but hey, they were free and I'm a fun loving person so I gave them a shot. I got a pair of the "tennis" flops. They felt ok at first but as I continued to wear them they rubbed blisters between my toes on both feet. I also thought they were extremely over priced. I own a high end ladies sportswear and beach fashion boutique and was looking for new ideas. I was told the original company was sold to a person in Tennessee, however these flops are made in China and in speaking with other retail gift shop owners, I have found that Hotflops delivery time is terrible. I saw the Hotflops display in Atlanta again in January. I spoke with the same Hotflops lady and my showroom rep. They both told me that Hotflops added a children's line and the prices have come down. I too have added children's items to my retail offerings. I thought I'd give the children's flops a try. The opening order requirement was high and I was told that I could not receive the children's products until mid-March. I told the sales rep and the Hotflops lady that the order must ship complete as I do not accept partial shipments. The delivery date was terrible because the summer season in South Florida starts in mid-February but I wanted to see if this product would work for me. Mid-March came and went with no Hotflops delivered to me however I did receive their display rack from an address in Tennessee (rack with no product is of no use to me). I called the showroom only to be told they did not represent Hotflops any more. I called the number on the business card I got from the Hotflops lady and was told that she no longer works for the company. The lady on the phone lacked in customer service skills but looked up my order. She told my delivery for the flops was not going to be until early April and it was too late to cancel. She told me of yet another price change and wanted to send me "free flops" to make up the difference. I did not want her free flops, I just wanted my order. She continued to try to "give" me adult duck flops and adult hockey flops, again ... I didn't want either, I just want my darn order! By the 2nd week in April, still no Hotflops. The children's flops did arrive in two separate shipments, the last week in April. They came in boxes with Asian writing all over the boxes. I checked with the shipper and was told they had shipped directly from China. I put up the display and the flops. I sold four pair (out of 48!) in 30 days. Three of the four pair were brought back to me by my customers. One was a pair of soccer Hotflops with a little flag that said "touchdown" on it. Two others were returned because they hurt the feet of the little ones they were purchased for. In summary, I threw away my tennis flops last summer after receiving feedback from customers they wouldn't put something like that on their feet and because they hurt my feet so badly. I do not feel that selling one pair of children's flip flops successfuly out of 48 on display is a good track record. I have taken the display down and given the remaining 44 pair to Goodwill.

These flops are not for me, my clients or my friends. I will not order Hotflops again. The good news? I have since purchased a new line of flip flops that come in various colors and designs with a retail price of $5.99 per pair and I cannot keep them in stock. I have literally been calling my rep every week to order more! These new flops are more comfortable, more fashion forward and more fun than Hotflops. And, I get my delivery in 3-4 days! I learned my lesson. Hotflops No More!

Hotflops are fun. They might not be for everyone but they are for people who don't take life too seriously. We all need to lighten up and everyone needs to own a pair if only to smile every once in a while.

Besides, Justflops have got to be the most comfortable flip-flop I've ever worn!
