I think we are talking about Ghetto Fabulous!! Which incase you were NOT aware is heading back in a big way for spring/summer 2009!! I’m loving what Kanye’s bredren is rockin and yes indeed it is MCM!! Or ‘Mo Cash Money’ as it was known back in the 80’s. Ghetto Fabulous is about being over the top and standing out from the crowd as an individual it has very little to do with “being Ghetto and loving the hood”, its Soooo much deeper than that. Yes ‘Hood Love’ is partly about loving who you are and where you come from, but it is also about how a person defines themselves or proves that they have a history of overcoming adversity proving their knowledge of the street and has the ability to hold themselves and their image as a person of the ghetto whether their of colour or not. This is what is being represted by Kanye’s ‘Buddy!’, who obviously knows who he is and what he represents.

Is that MGM, or MCM?? I don’t know if you all remember, but back in the day everyone used to rock “MCM” jackets, and the logos looked just like this.. It was very late 80s/early 90s, which seems to be what this guy was trying to go for.
