IDEEËN, a New York based fashion brand, is found in 2008 by Junko Hirata and Atsuko Yanase. Hirata has worked at Yigal Azrouël and Helmut Lang, while Yanase spent time at Club Monaco. They met while at Catherine Malandrino. The Fall 2009 collection inspiration comes from deep ocean landscapes. My absolute favorites were of course the laced and bleached denim dresses and pants. I see them as the next step in the DIY evolution of my Balmain inspired bleach jeans. The fox fur in this collections was pieced together leftover swatches and not from new hives.
