INTERVIEW: Kirsty Bridge, Blogger, Belle Fantaisie

INTERVIEW: Kirsty Bridge, Blogger, Belle Fantaisie

Kirsty is a 20 years old British student, her blog, Belle Fantaisie is a blog filled with inspiration, outfits and pretty things that she loves.

1: What made you start the blog?

When I started my blog in October 2008, I had yet to start my Fashion Graphics degree at University. This meant I had no kind of outlet for my love of fashion. Most of my friends were not as interested in fashion as I was so I just needed and wanted a way to vent that, so I started my blog! I’ve always been into having somewhere on the internet that you can call yours; I had a livejournal at some point, so it seemed natural to start a blog about a subject I was passionate about.
2: What is your favorite perk?

When people leave lovely comments, or when they email me just to say thanks and that they like my blog! When I started Belle Fantaisie, it was about me talking about fashion just so I could vent it out, but it’s lovely that people enjoy reading it and that people take the time to comment and email me!
3: What is the best advice you can give someone who wants to start a fashion blog?

Blog about something you love and think about a lot! If you’ve got ideas and thoughts buzzing around your brain about the subject, then it will be easy to blog about it. You need to be passionate about what you are writing about, otherwise you will get bored and never post, and then no one will come back to read more.
4: What projects are you working on?

At the moment I’m at Uni, so the projects that I get set from my course takes up a lot of time! I’m not complaining though, my course is perfect for me, filled with graphics, typography, photography and drawing! So I’m very busy with this and my blog!
5: What is your typical day?

I normally wake up around 10am unless I have University at 9am, then it’s a painful, early start at 7.30am. I’m not so good at early mornings! My day is made up of University lectures and seminars, working on University projects at home and blogging. Although now spring is around the corner, I absolutely love having picnics with my boyfriend and being outside in the sun. This will definitely be happening soon!

Thanks Kirsty, check out her blog for more pictures.
