A sweatshop free China?  That’s the vision that Dov Charney has as he plans to move American Apparel’s production from downtown Los Angeles to the land of the rising sun.

The Dov has been on everyone’s mind lately but a recent article in WWD reveals the inner workings of this mega brand including the decision to get all cheap laborish on us by moving production to China.

I wonder how China’s decency brigade will take to a CEO who enjoys underwear clad factory tours?
