Zooey Deschanel is a decent actress and I think the combination of her with Jim Carrey had a good balance. Zooeys character being so not mainstream made Jims character seem more out there, and his stability in his character made her seem less indie. I'm not saying being boring or being out there is a bad thing, but I find that this movie found a healthy balance. Plus, I find Jims friend in the movie,Not Danny Masterson but the blonde guy, very attractive. Which made the movie even better. I saw Yes Man on Saturday, and I think it was a really good movie. Zooey Deschanel is a decent actress and I think the combination of her with Jim Carrey had a good balance. Also Judd Apatow and his buddies have released films with viral advertising campaigns that suggest an indie-audience is in mind. I haven’t seen this but it can’t be the first hipster comedy.
